"The duty nurse"

About: Frome Community Hospital

I came in with a horrid cut to my finger - very deep and painful. I suffer with panic attacks and anxiety and told the nurse at reception this who promised to pass this on and thanked me for being so forthcoming. It was a Sunday on the bank holiday weekend and every single member of staff were lovely and accommodating. One member of staff however the duty nurse spent time calming me down and teaching me how to breathe properly to avoid a new panic attack. All the while going above and beyond to distract me from the pain and then the process of being stitched up. They was absolutely wonderful and dealt with me on a personal level as well as a professional level. They were utterly fantastic and made the whole process more bearable!

I apologise for any grammatical errors as I am typing with one hand!

Hello

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your recent experience of one of our MIU's. It is always lovely to receive such kind comments and hear what good experiences our patients have with the team.

Be assured the Patient Advice and Liaison Service, PALS, will be pleased to pass on your great comments to management and we know that they will share them with the team.

We would like to wish you well and hope that you have a speedy recovery.

With kind regards
