I have a history of heart problems, referred to this hospital by GP. Lovely friendly nurses do reception including ECG etc, then put into cubicle to be seen by doctor. Quick (very quick) consultation with doctor, left alone on monitor in cubicle for rest of day and evening with occasional visit from nurse. In the evening, after three and a half hours of seeing no-one at all found junior doctor peering through corner of curtain. They’d obviously forgotten me! I had no idea that they planned on admitting me or what they had planned for me. Simply not good enough. Almost total lack of communication and consultation.
"Maybe, just maybe, if they told the patient…."
