"A&E & Urgent Care"

About: Northwick Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

My father attended hospital for a pain he had on the side which was later confirmed as a kidney stone in the early morning, he was discharged midday and told to take killers he has been taking post heart surgery (5 weeks). The pain returned later in the day where by LAS where called out to our home who treated him and took him once again to northwick park. This is when the problems and lack of care started which is very important for a person recoverying from heart surgery. He was made to wait a long time without pain relief which was only given after repeatedly chasing the very rude nursing staff. Thankfully a kind nurse asked a doctor and gave him some medicine. However another failing, the medicine was to be taken via the rear passage as per the morning, but this time around rhe nurse didnt administer it but instead told my father to so it himself. Is this a way to treat a person recovering from major surgery? It appears the staff at northwick park no longer care for people and just a numbers game. My father become very stressed with the long waiting time i excuess of 6 hours waiting to be seen by a doctor even with repeated conversion with the nurses about his post operation recovery which they didnt take any note off and always responded in a very rude manner. I would advise anyone to avoid northwick park, Park Royal a and e was a much better place compared the non human treatment that northwick park has to offer.
