"I was taken by ambulance to A&E..."

About: Kettering General Hospital

What I liked

I was taken by ambulance to A&E with a suspected heart attack. From the moment the paramedics dealt with me in my home ,to my discharge from the Observation Ward ,I was dealt with kindly, efficiently and with urgency. The paramedics could not be faulted and the nurses and doctor, who carried out the various proceedings that had to be done, were kind, caring and reassuring ,and I never once doubted their knowledge of what they were doing.I was never made to feel like an object, but always as a person, and was informed, at all stages, what was happening to me.

In,what was ,a worrying time for me and my wife all staff ,including the porter, the X-Ray technician and the ward nurses ,were reassuring and kind.A sense of humour was never missing and I would like the staff to know that my wife and I appreciated the care that was given to me and the respect given to us both.

What could be improved

It would be nice if pillows were available in A&E!
