"WALKING OUT"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

What I liked

WALKING OUT

What could be improved

got taken in as an emergency with another pneumothorax 11-8-10 :(

Waited only to be seen by a doctor who was covered in food, had to remind him to wear gloves, was seen on childrens ward then shifted to some shack. Then refused to have a chest drain fitted as I explained the numbing was not working. Had to physically remove his hand and needle touching me. Was then dumped in A&E. Pain killers were refused. Was further transfered to ACU which was dirty, rubbish lying about etc. Smell of human waste etc etc. Toilets were dirty. Told a doctor who couldnt care less. My new doctor turned up, had to explain to her I had aspergers syndrome and was not sattisfied with the reacton i recieved back. I then was dumped for a further hour when she came back saying that they would do a chest drain without my consent if it got worse. I then walked out only to be chased half way across the unit by said doctor who threatend to phone the police to make me come back. At home now STILL with pneumothorax, what is the point of going to hospital if the treatment you recieve is absolutely farcical. Will be paying PALS a visit and possibly making the local press aware of the situation as I am absolutely livid with my 6 hour ordeal. May I pass my thanks on for my stress levels being made worse by this.

Anything else?
