I was referred to the Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre because of severe pain to my left knee and subsequent X-Rays.
My first appointment was on 27th April.
After a most efficient and friendly check in the Consultant, indicated that a full knee replacement operation was required.
After the initial pre-operation procedures, the Anaesthetist who had concerns about a heart murmur saw me.
After a cardiologist’s report, I was called for surgery on 3rd July.
I was admitted to ward.
With another Consultant Surgeon and Anaesthetist who carried out an excellent task
I was discharged from the Treatment Centre on Wednesday July 5th
During the short stay, I had excellent Physio support that has continued since then.
I write to express my thanks to everyone at the treatment centre.
Without exception the explanations, care and practice were all outstanding.
I had heard excellent reports before I came, but nothing prepared me for such an outstanding performance from everyone that I met.
