"The nurse helped me in an already anxious situation."

About: Croydon University Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I called maternity triage as I was 19 weeks pregnant and feeling pain. I was told by a lovely polite lady to come down.

When I arrived I was looked after and the girl in question tried to hear babies heartbeat. We could not here it however this nurse was adamant she would find it. She spent quite a while trying to find the heartbeat in between doing a 1000 other things. Running around the very busy demanding department and yet she still had time to be kind, caring and compassionate.

I wish for the nurse in question to know how she helped me in an already anxious situation. She found the heartbeat and reassured me.

Thank you very much for taking the time to tell us about your experience. I am pleased that you were reassured and I will pass your comments on to the Triage department.

Wishing you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy
