"Sent from Sheppey hospital with adult..."

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Accident and emergency

Whilst most of the staff were lovely I cannot get over the Dr/Nurse in minor injuries deliberately squeezing my son's broken wrist because they either took offence or found the language my son was using to deal with his pain offensive!!!

Whilst I do not condone swearing I know my son only swore as a way of dealing with the intense pain he was in and it was not aimed at anyone in particular. I'm certain we have all swore in pain.

We had already been to our local minor injuries, Sheppey and has been seen by a nurse who sent us to Medway with a letter and x-ray form after putting my son's arm in a sling and given him pain relief.

We arrive at Medway hospital told to go straight to x-ray prior to being booked in. Have x-ray go back to A&E where we get booked in and Everyone is confused as to how and why we've already had x-ray. We then get called to see a triage nurse who was lovely but surely we'd already been triaged at our local minor injuries?? They tell my son it looks like his wrist is broken and takes us to minor injuries. Remember we'd already been seen at minor injuries at Sheppey!! We wait in Medway minor injuries to be seen and continue waiting for approximately another 2 hours at least I would say,.although the screen says waiting time 45 mins. Other patients also from Sheppey follow us and some are seen before my son. How? Why?

When we are called in were asked to wait again whilst the staff member disappears for another 10-15 mins. As previously stated my son was in a lot of pain and has not been offered any top up of pain relief. The Dr/nurse whose name I did not hear returns and starts feeling m son's arm which hurts him more so as a way of dealing with the pain he quietly swears to himself. The Dr/nurse can hear but surely knows it is not aimed at them or anyone at all but decided to deliberately continue squeezing my son's broken wrist with a smirk on their face, I know it was deliberate and they did this more than once!!!! My son's wrist is definately broken in 1 place and there's a ? Over another potential break. He gets sent to have temp plaster put on,.ending on a positive note the nurse who did this was lovely.
