After my initial complaint last year about my dire experience at St Helier's Immunology dept; I followed up with a formal complaint as suggested in the hospital's response to my complaint.
I was asked if I wanted to meet with the Dr to discuss the matter face-to-face, to which I replied "yes". That was back in January and I only received a reply yesterday (21/08/17) explaining that the previous member of staff who I was corresponding with had left and they were following up open complaints.
So, I've been left for best part of a year with no resolution to my complaint, a lukewarm apology (at best) and no conclusion as to what is causing these horrid allergic reactions.
All-in-all, the complaints procedure is a failure. The immunology referral a complete waste of time and I'm still no closer to finding out what my triggers are.
I'm so thankful that I have private healthcare through work and have decided to go down this route instead.
