"Excellent service from Treliske as normal"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Emergency Department

We moved to Cornwall from the Midlands 4 years ago. My wife has various illnesses and we were worried about moving and changing hospitals. We could not be more happy with the excellent service we have had from Treliske. Every department have been brilliant, they have helped and even improved my wife's care. Today (22/08/2017) we have had to use Treliske again for my mother who has had a problem with her hip. We called the ambulance service, they were brilliant also, they took my mother to A&E. My wife and daughter stayed with her and the staff were superb, they saw my mother quickly and sorted a plan of action to help her. I am so impressed with Treliske and cannot understand the bad press you get. We live in a county with a population of approximately 500,000 yet every summer that population increases massively yet everyone still gets treated. In the Midlands there were four large hospitals that were easily accessed, in Cornwall you are the only major Hospital and you have to cope with a massive influx of people from easter to September without many thanks. Please accept our thanks for the excellent professional service you have given us in the last four years. Nobody should give you the abuse you receive at times. You are a fantastic service provider for everyone in Cornwall and I will always sing your praises. Thank you so much for doing what you do.
