I had a colonoscopy at the RVI yesterday and didn't really get a chance to express my thanks to the staff who cared for me. Every nurse and doctor was so friendly, efficient and above all, they treated me like a person rather than someone they needed to get rid of. Sometimes, I feel like my opinions and decisions aren't taken seriously because of my age and gender but this time was different and it made such a tedious procedure far more bearable. The Doctor was warm, professional and chatty and talked me through the entire colonoscopy: I practically forgot there was a camera in my intestines. I can't remember the names of all of the nurses but they were so lovely - sincere, and made me forget how undignified the situation was. I hope you can pass on my thanks to all of them!
"Kind and professional staff"
