I was diagnosed with a meningioma in March which was treated as an urgent case.
An operation was carried out to remove the tumour, which was benign.. This was successful.
I have nothing but praise for all the staff I encountered. From the consultant to the staff on Fal, Erme and Moorfield wards, and the team on the day of my operation.
A nurse on Moorfield ward deserves a special mention for going above and beyond the call of duty. The nurse's shift was due to finish at 3.30pm but they did not leave until 5.30pm, having gone without lunch. This was to ensure the night staff were able to devote time to a patient who was seriously ill.
Once again on behalf of my family and myself, thank you.
"Excellent care"
