About: Conquest Hospital / Maternity

after being poorly for 24 hours I was worried about the health of my baby and myself after having sickness ,high temp ,and stomach cramps and some bleeding .I was unable to contact my midwife and was unable to reach her at the hospital .I was put thru to 3 different people on different wards and had to explain myself on each call ,on each call I explained I was told by the hospital it self I had a cyst on my right ovary and my scan had shown up a low laying placenta.after 3 calls I was told best thing is to stay in bed and rest drink plenty of fluids if you have any more bleeding or no improvement then call back .after this call I was still not happy so I called my doctors and got a emergency appointment which I'm glad I did as I have a water infection and showed protein I'm now resting and taking antibotics ,and after 3 days ive still not heard from my midwife .....very disappointed in the maternity service at the conquest hospital

We would be grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) on 01424 758090, or by email at esh-tr.PALSH@nhs.net.

PALS will liaise with senior staff in maternity services and organise for you to discuss your concerns with them.

In the meantime, please be assured we take your concerns seriously, and have already shared them with key staff in maternity services to act upon.
