"Wellbeing mum course"

About: Hawtonville Children's Centre

(as a service user),

I attended a six week wellbeing mum course at Hawtonvilleville sure start centre. We were provided with a crèche and each week did different crafts or relaxation. As a mum of twins the crèche was invaluable as it is sometimes difficult to get sitters for two. Also as a mum of twins having the two hours a week of me time and time with other mums was a lifesaver.

I think every mum struggles at some point and mums of multiples especially so as there is double the work and claims one your attention. It can get very stressful at times and this course provided me with a bit of time to myself which is very rare. It was also nice to use your brain and make crafts. We tried some things I had never done before which was enjoyable.

The room and atmosphere was lovely and calming. We were made to feel very relaxed with no pressure to do anything we didn't want to. There was also no need to talk if you didn't want to. We also received a lovely gift at the end of the course. I would recommend the course and the centre.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed the course. Having time to yourself, to be you, even if just for an hour or two, is so important and we are glad we were able to offer that to you. Feedback from the course has been fantastic and we are hoping to put it on again. Thank you for sharing your experience.
