Went to Bell ward as an outpatient for a hernia repair. Originally told I may have to wait up to 11 months but was offered a cancellation for 8 days later.
Very impressed with the staff at the pre assessment and the staff on the day of my op, all happy, all smiley!
Nice clean ward and up to date equipment. (brand new). A little waiting about initially but then it is not an assembly line. Went to get prepped for the op, next thing I remember was the BP monitor waking me up as it constricted on my arm in the recovery area.
Well attended and monitored by the staff and after a while moved down to the discharge ward where I was offered a sandwich (choice) and tea.
I was monitored for a couple of hours and then allowed to go home .
To sum up, a pleasant experience enhanced by all of the staff and I cannot think of any improvements that could be made.
Thank you to all the staff that were involved with my well being.
