"My only advice to midwives would be keep smiling"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

As a first time mum I didn't know what to expect when it comes to the appointment process and the amount of midwives that I would encounter. I have found on the most part everyone I have met along this journey has been friendly and has always been understanding. On occasion you do encounter people who seem to be having a bad day which sometimes dampens the experience, but overall I've found it pleasant and my only advice to midwives would be keep smiling. : )

Thankyou and I just hope I get someone with a big smile helping me when labour starts because I am petrified.
