"Fracture in two bones in forearm no action taken"

About: Northwick Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

My mother-in-law fell over on an uneven pavement (13/08)and we took her to Northwick Park A&E (14/08), they did an X-ray and confirmed she has a two broken bones and assured us they would refer her fo surgery asap. In the morning (16/08)when we went to follow up again, we were told that the request hasnt even been forwarded and we need to bring her again to make the reference to fracture clinic. She hasnt been provided any care, any plaster either and is in terrible pain since last 3 days. No help has been provided to us, extremely disappointed.

Dear Dipika

I am very sorry to hear this. Please ring or email or PALS team and they will do their best to help you with this. Their contact details are 0208 869 5118 or LNWH-tr.PALS@nhs.net

I will forward this to the A&E and fracture clinic managers but they will not be able to do anything without having your mother in law's details.

Thank you for your feedback, I hope we can get your mother in law on the road to recovery soon.

Best wishes

Sue
