"The reception staff were really helpful..."

About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital

What I liked

The reception staff were really helpful and put me at ease as did the triage nurse.

What could be improved

I waited 2 hours with chest pain, with not even a monitor on. I had to practically beg for some paracetamol to take to get rid of the pain in my chest and head and i did not even see a doctor once. I self discharged in the end and was made to feel terrible by the care support worker and was told i obviously wasnt important otherwise i'd of been seen.

Anything else?

I was overall disgusted by the attitude in this a+e, there were minimal amount of people in at that time and not only was i scared and feeling unwell i felt humiliated and undignified. I was left with ecg pads on me and was told to wait with no top on as the dr might want more tests done. Not once did i see a nurse or dr when i was in there but could hear them all having tea together and talking about cooking.
