What I liked

From my initial fracture assessment, through the plaster room to the Ward the care I have received has been of the highest order. My concerns were listen to. When apprehensive they took note,responded and someone took control of my situation. I was not made to feel a fool far from it, they actually cared about me. The team ran as a team. The matron led from the front, nothing was too difficult and watching the team around her operate - from washing hands, to keeping food hot and offering pain relief - has to be admired.

The consultants and Theatre unit explained in a manner that was easily understood and relevant, I felt in control and there were no surprises. The after care wasdelivered as promised. It was an outstanding experience. The NHS at its very best.

What could be improved

Information Technology and documentaion link up with feeder units. Central point of contact for Theatre clearing on arrival to ensure speedy confirmation of list and ward.
