This was my 4th Out Patient appointment in 18 months to have a specific investigation at the clinic. Each time the clinic has been so late there was not time to undertake the investigation! This time I made sure the nurse knew that I needed special drops before seeing the doctor - the nurse shrugged and said it was nothing to do with them. I was seen at 2pm for an appointment at 09:45. While waiting 3 doctors left the clinic never to return with almost standing room only so many patients were still waiting!
Sadly there was no time for the investigation and only a brief time with a very nice but harassed doctor who did not listen to what I had to say and just said I'd have to come back yet again! Another 6 months wait for a test that was "urgent" 18 months ago!
I asked why the doctors had left the clinic - they either had to go to clinics across London or had surgery.
Does no one there understand scheduling? Your clinics never run to time, always late and the poor patients at the bottom of the pile are rushed through to get rid of them and so do not receive the attention they deserve.
