What I liked
my GP called for an ambulance to take me to A+E as i was very ill with Pneumonia, when i got to A+E i was left in the Corridor next to the door for 6 hours very cold before being moved to a room and being seen by a doctor,
people were being called in from the waiting room and seen before me who were walking and didn't look poorly,( I'm sure they were but at least they could walk) i was given no pain relief and had a very high temp, low blood presure and low heart rate, the staff knew i had pneumonia as the paramedic informed them, they didnt seem to care, doctors and nurse were just walking pass me and not even looking at me,
when i was seen by a doctor within minutes the doctor had me on a drip and antibiotics and pain relief and told me its a bad case of pneumonia,
once on the ward i was looked after fine.
What could be improved
staff should not ever ignore anyone just because they are busy, i could have been put onto a drip and given antibiotices even if the staff was busy.
Anything else?
i feel very left down by the staff at A+E and really believed my time was up and nobody cared.
