My Father was admitted to Scunthorpe A&E at 10pm and diagnosed as a possible stroke. The type of stroke and treatment could not be determined until the results of the scan were known. The scan determined my Father had a Haemorrhagic stroke (Brain bleed) and he was urgently transferred the next morning to Hull where they have a Specialist Neurology team.
A&E were very informative and professional looking after my Father at Scunthorpe. He was moved onto the Stroke ward at midnight and I felt confident he was in good hands. They were professional and informative. Its such a worrying time for family. It certainly renews your appreciation of the NHS and its wonderful staff.
