I have suffered mental health problems for many years, I started getting problems in about 1972-3, I started seeing, DPT in about 2007, sadly I have never been fully diagnosed, each person I have met with contradicts the previous, GAD,PTSD, MPDO,to mention a few.I have been medicated, but never had any counselling other than assessments, the medication I was taking early last year 2016, said on the information sheet, that it must not be taken without therapy , I advised my GP of this, and as I was not offered any counselling, I said that I must stop taking it, they made me aware that they had not been aware of this, but said it will most likely be okay to continue taking the medication,so I asked why this information was on the sheet and what other choice I had, my GP means well, but their hands are tied, If DPT will not offer me any treatment.I contacted DPT, and asked to speak with two persons that had been dealing with my issues , both persons where unavailable due to work commitments that day and subsequent, days, I left several messages for them to contact me, and if they were unable to personally, could I at least be informed of this, I'm still waiting, My last contact regarding my health was March 2016 and I asked again to be contacted I'm still waiting. This is just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak of the long list of failings regarding my treatment, I don't wish to go into great details on this matter. I did contact DPT expressing a wish to work with the trust in an admin capacity as I had identified ways I thought things could be improved , I was informed by the person in Exeter that as I was being treated by the trust I wouldn't be considered for work within the trust, (fantastic) it doesn't get any more disconcerting or insensitive than that really. If I'm honest I really don't want an apology and I don't want to pursue any formal complaints as this won't give me back the anxiety time and stress that it all caused me. The name I give has relevance.
"Still waiting"
