A minor eye area operation involving a local anaesthetic proved to be an amazing experience. From the initial introduction, to the doctor explaining everything, to the nursing staff, then the waiting area, the operation itself and finally the discharge process, I could not fault anyone or anything. The doctor performing the op was empathetic but at the same time totally professional. The nursing staff were kind and caring. The entire operating theatre area was very impressive and the staff in the room carried out their various functions thoroughly and efficiently. I realise my operation was a relatively minor one, but the close proximity to my eye meant that it had to be undertaken with great care and efficiency. I cannot praise the doctor and their accompanying nursing staff enough. Thank you for making an otherwise possibly frightening experience an incredibly fascinating, heartwarming and positive one.
