"Car Parking"

1) I am concerned that this clinic or any of its Management and Administration staff cannot be contacted by email it seems. None are displayed on this website.

2) My main concern is the new parking arrangements involving Parking Eye. Would you tell me whether the centre approached Parking Eye to employ them and whether this costs the centre any money or whether Parking Eye approached the clinic.

3) When I attended the centre recently there was much concern and confusion concerning the system. More time was taken up with the staff explaining the systems demands than processing the patients visits. My own doctor's reception seemed ignorant of many of its requirements and long queues formed as a result.

4) The time allotted for a visit is only one hour. This did cause concern among the fellow patients given the usual long waits for aoointments and blood tests. I suggest that the times registered by Parking Eye for visits be requested from the company at monthly intervals to ascertain whether this is a sensible time allowance. It would be shocking if through confusion or oversight or examples of appointments running late if any NHS patients are fined such rudiculous amouts of money by a private company.

My own doctor's reception tells me that the centre does not have the power to waive the fee in any circumstance and that the final say lies with the private parking company.

Please answer my points.

I would also like the centre, an NHS body, to be able to furnish me with a breakdown of the times that people have registered on their visits . If 95% can complete their visit comfortably within the one hour deadline then that time would be sensible. I appreciate that the receptionists have now been tasked with running a paper system alongside the electronic one but my own doctor's receptionist didn't seem aware.

Many patients are older and were visibly quite anxious about the move. A rethink?
