"Lack of after care"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital / Gynaecology

6 weeks post hysterectomy, I contacted level 11 on 2 occasions for advice as I have had leakage from my wound for 11 days.

Today having asked for an urgent review of both pain and leakage, I was told that the consultant's

secretary would contact me to organise a wound review appointment. No contact today.

I was told to go to A & E if I got worse.

I don't know what to do and feel worried and concerned and lost in a system which I don't know where to go.
