My sister and i wish to thank the consultant for their patience, kindness, and skill in dealing with our mother who is 97. The consultant was wonderful to her and fully explained the cataract procedure to us. The consultant also discovered glaucoma that had not been previously diagnosed.
Mum couldn't keep her head still, at an earlier procedure, so she was admitted on 13.7.17 for surgery using anaesthetics. We should also like to thank the Anaesthetist whose name we do not know. We also saw a Registrar on one occasion, who was also very kind and patient.
May we thank the kind and caring staff of the Day Care Unit, Bay 3, who were on duty 13.7.17.
Other super staff we wish to thank: the doctor who assessed Mum for surgery: the member of staff who did ECG; the member of staff who did pre-op assessment questionnaire, and gave advice; the member of staff who took blood samples, and used a child's needle to cause as little pain as possible; and the member of staff in the Windsor Suite who did eye measurements, despite Mum being unable to keep her head still. We also wish to thank the member of staff who gave us advice about Power of Attorney after being asked to telephone us by the consultant.
There were reception staff we are unable to name who were welcoming and very kind.
You should all be justly proud of the dedication, level of care, and skills shown to our Mother, and kindness shown to my sister and I.
Many thanks to everyone concerned.
