"Extremely uncomfortable!"

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent visit to Antenatal Outpatients Clinic at Good Hope Hospital.

I appreciate that during periods of hot weather, our waiting area environments can experience high temperatures. Our staff do everything they can to minimise the discomfort with the placement of fans to circulate air and create breeze and areas are monitored by our Health and Safety Team. Unfortunately, in older parts of the hospital, where there is no air conditioning, this does cause discomfort for our patients, visitors and staff.

I will ensure that your feedback is highlighted to our Estates Team, and our Health and Safety Team to ensure they are aware and can continue monitoring this area, and I will ask if further measures could perhaps be undertaken to minimise the discomfort.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments, patient, family and visitor feedback is very important to us as it helps us to identify where there are issues so that we can examine areas of concern, make changes and improvements wherever possible.

I hope my actions are acceptable and thank you once again for taking the time to provide your views, as previously stated, it is extremely valuable.
