What I liked
Two weeks ago on a cold Thursday night I landed in Heathrow airport on my
way home at 10:30pm. Due to a torn calf muscle i needed a diagnosis and
was directed by my emergency support team to the The Hillingdon Hospital
A&E department. I arrived at 11:30pm and was seen by a doctor at 4am (due
to prioritization of urgent patient needs) and provided with diagnostic
results by 6am. Before leaving at midday for Australia. This was a
difficult moment in my life.
I just wanted to say what a pleasant surprise it was to come across an A&E
which helped me soo much in my time of need. I know my ailment was not
huge in the bigger aspect of life - but you still found time to look after
me.
The admission staff (who supplied me with a spare blanket during the wait)
were very helpful and polite. Although working under a constant workload
they always showed concern and respect to all arriving patients. Thankyou.
The doctor I saw was also very professional and direct. And personally
turned around my tests in such a short time - fantastic!
The A&E admission area was also not antiseptic (which is the norm) - so
this was interesting and better then most. I kept on trying different
curves in the area for a different view :)
Sooo... thankyou.
What could be improved
In A&E, softer benches, spare blankets available on a stand if required and a coffee machine which takes notes.
Anything else?
Too often I read hotel reviews and restaurant reviews. So if I was to
score this A&E on a similar basis I would give you 9 out of 10 - if not
more.
