Not only am a long term patient under my Consultant (superb consultant may I say) who has now, apparently moved on from carrying out actual surgery?? I may be mistaken?
I have also been cared for by another Consultant and have yearly cystoscopies carried out by the nurse-lead clinic and headed by another lovely person! as is their team.
I have been a volunteer with the Trust for over 14 years now, being 12 years in Beynon Short Stay and around 12 months now in AMU Ward which I also enjoy immensly!
I cannot praise the staff in Urology high enough, my bladder cancer was diagnosed very quickly through my superb GP in Castlecroft, who sent me immiedately to New Cross for an xray where a tumour was detected.
After this I was swiftly cared for in a most caring and efficient manner and had continuity of care throughout which is rare these days!
I am upset if I see bad reviews of care in any department within the Trust and especially in this Department - keep up the excellent work!!
