On the 13 of July I went to A & E with pain which was radiating up into my shoulders, neck and jaw, after assessment I was transferred to Firth 7, and later that day I had an angiogram which determined that I had had a heart attack, the type of heart attack that I had was called a SCAD, which is caused by a tear in an artery.
Apparently this is a rare type of heart attack, so I would like to say a huge thank you to the doctor who performed the angiogram for their skilful diagnosis, and all of the team who helped, the care from doctors and nurses prior to, and following this procedure.
Firth 7 is a credit to everyone who works there, it is so efficiently run, the staff are outstanding, the ward is spotlessly clean, it reminded me of the times when Matrons were in charge and no one ever had anything to complain about.
Every question I asked was answered fully, and I felt completely safe and in good hands.
Once again many thanks for the exceptional care.
