I arrived at this clinic again today to find that despite receiving two texts to confirm my appointment, that I did not have one. This is the second time this has happened in a matter of weeks! The receptionist informed me that the appointment reminders were 'outsourced' as if that was a good enough excuse. They said I could wait and hopefully see someone, but last time I was there for two and a half hours. I have to pick my Grandson up from nursery so could not afford the time because of somebody else's incompetance.
The poor person in front of me had waited 5 months for an appointment for his Gloucoma, just to be told (despite having a letter) that he did not have an appointment. He had traveled a long way.
I have been to Moorfields Eye Hospital in the City and I am sure they would be horrified at the lack of organisation at the Bedford satellite clinic.
