"Appointments and Quality of Consultation"

At my local GP surgery if I wanted to see a doctor it is a four to five week wait. When I finally get to see a doctor it is always a locum, no consistency of care. I was referred to a consultant, ENT. When the appointment finally came through it was cancelled with just a couple of days notice. Another appointment was offered at a later date, but I had to travel - a 60 mile round trip. At the appointment with the consultant he questioned why I had come to ENT as he considered my problem to be a respiratory problem. I'm not the doctor. The GP appears to have wasted my time and the consultant's appointment, not to mention the cost in both my time and money in travelling 60 mile. I feel like the G.Ps I have seen have not listened to what I am trying to say, it feels like a case of get them in and out as quickly as possible.
