Four days after having had a Jetrea injection for traction of the macula, my husband developed an infection in his eye. He was admitted to Forth Valley after excellent emergency examination and treatment from Dr Ferguson. During his time there, the staff in Ward B31 were totally professional and caring.
Dr Wardrop and his team were extremely attentive, scanning and checking each day and administering the necessary antibiotic injections, etc. Once he was discharged, we attended Falkirk Eye Emergency Clinic every second day. The care has been exceptional and we would like to thank each of the doctors and the entire team who attended to him until he was handed over to Gartnavel where he is now undergoing further treatment as an outpatient.
A sincere thank you to all.
