When I had my children I experienced 2 totally different treatments. My first child being born by C-section the midwife barely spoke to me she didn't tell me anything that was going to happen during the procedure or after. What was meant to be a joyous time turned out to be a very stressfully event. My second child again born by C-section the midwife in charge of my care was the total opposite, she explained everything in detail and gave me the time to speak about my wishes and fears. She constantly reassured me throughout my experience and even popped by the next day to see how I was. The last gesture meant the most to me because I was no longer under her care as an individual but she took the time to speak to me anyway.
