"Fantastic antenatal anomaly scan experience"

Today we visited the RVI antenatal sonography department for our 20 scan with baby #3. I have to say our experience of the scan totally exceeded our expectations.

The sonographer and their assistant made us feel very welcome from the moment we were called from the waiting room. Every detail of the scan was explained in detail; which measurements were being taken, why they were being taken and the results of the measurements. We saw all the babys' anatomy and enjoyed guessing the gender! We felt comfortable to ask questions and nothing felt like too much trouble. The sonographer also gave us some fantastic personalised pictures for us to give to our older children.

Thank you for making my day. I have had several scans over the last few years and this was by far my best scan experience to date.

We are very pleased to hear that your recent routine 20 week scan appointment provided you with the high standard of personalised care we aim to achieve.

These scan appointments require us to obtain essential clinical information but we understand that they are very often an exciting time for parents. We are pleased our midwife sonographer provided you with the level of detail you required in relation to your baby and your ongoing pregnancy.
