"Excellent care"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

I was recently admitted to Dixon Ward in order to have an endoscopy which revealed I had a bleeding ulcer.

The care on the ward was excellent. The staff were so professional and caring and had excellent senses of humour, which made for a happier atmosphere on a hospital ward. My nurses were a credit to the nursing profession. Everyone was very good. The staff who served meals and refreshments even went the extra mile.

When I had the endoscopy the staff were very good at reassurance and support throughout an unpleasant procedure. The ulcer was treated during the procedure.

I left the ward feeling well, fully informed and positive.

I had time to observe all the staff and they were very patient with elderly patients who at times were very demanding

Well done and thank you

Dear Karen

Thank you for taking time to tell us about your experience.

Feedback is always welcome and to hear that the Endoscopy Team reassured you throughout what you rightly say can be an unpleasant experience is very good to hear.

I am pleased that your treatment went well and that you feel that the care you received and witnessed was of a high standard.

I will ensure that the Endoscopy Team see your feedback. Once again many thanks

Kind Regards

Julie Scott
