I was recently admitted to Dixon Ward in order to have an endoscopy which revealed I had a bleeding ulcer.
The care on the ward was excellent. The staff were so professional and caring and had excellent senses of humour, which made for a happier atmosphere on a hospital ward. My nurses were a credit to the nursing profession. Everyone was very good. The staff who served meals and refreshments even went the extra mile.
When I had the endoscopy the staff were very good at reassurance and support throughout an unpleasant procedure. The ulcer was treated during the procedure.
I left the ward feeling well, fully informed and positive.
I had time to observe all the staff and they were very patient with elderly patients who at times were very demanding
Well done and thank you
"Excellent care"
