"Grateful thanks to all the staff involved."

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery (Wards 16-18)

(as the patient),

It was a convoluted path to get there but the Laporoscopic Ventral Mesh Rectopexy performed at Wishaw General , has changed my life! So mega credit where it's due.

On the day, checked in at 11am & home at tea time the following day. The care of the Anesthesia Team in persevering to put a spinal block in pre-surgery was brilliant since I can't tolerate morphine. It kept me totally pain free for about 10 days I reckon.

The care taken to cope with the many challenges presented by my Systemic Sclerosis was outstanding. I got the all clear from the Surgeon .

I can totally understand why his skills are in such huge demand. This procedure has almost eradicated faecal incontinence and all of the lower back pain that had plagued me for years.

Shame there aren't a few more surgeons with his level of expertise. Grateful thanks to all the staff involved.
