"Appalled"

About: Basildon University Hospital / Dermatology

I am disgusted at the service I've received. It has been nothing but trouble coming to Dermatology at basildon hospital. The doctors are rude and demeaning, making you feel ashamed of your skin. The only nice person I saw was a nurse. There is no communication between the doctors and the receptionists who act like they know everything. The receptionists firstly caused nothing but issues by writing in our phone numbers completely wrong, no apologies for this mistake as per usual. This mistake resulted in me having a blood test for no reason as the prescription they eventually wrote was out of date. I am on month five of my treatment for acne and still due one months worth of isotretinoin but there have been so many issues in getting this prescription I feel like giving up. You can't even get through by phone, no one answers and it goes through to a message from a person who spouts a load of nonsense. They've managed to leave us a message though saying that a doctor wouldn't be writing me a prescription as I'd had all of my tablets which is completely untrue. I had spoke to someone about this previously and they told me to get a blood test and then ring back in a few days to tell them that I needed a prescription to be written, so once again more evidence of stupidity and lack of communication. Very angry at the way they have treated me.
