"Dedicated professionals"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I went into Day Surgery for a small procedure with some trepidation. I hadn't undergone surgery or general anesthetic for more than 50 years and was understandably nervous about the prospect.

I needn't have been concerned.

Staff in the Day Surgery ward were exceptional. From the reception area to the nurses, the anesthetist team and the surgeon, all went the extra mile to ensure that I was kept fully informed of what was going to happen. They took time to answer questions and explain how the day would progress.

I can't thank them enough for their dedication and pleasant manner throughout my short stay.

While I hope never to have to darken the door again; if circumstances dictate that I have to then I know I can place my full trust in these dedicated professionals.

Dear Kelpie

Thank you for taking the time to post about your recent visit to the Day Surgery Unit, I am pleased to read that you felt the staff were dedicated and you were treated with a pleasant manner, the staff work hard at making sure that the each patient is cared for individually, your kind words will go along way to making the staff feel they are getting it right. Thank you for placing your full trust in the staff, and we are not offended that you don't want to "darken the door again".

I hope your recovery is going well

Kind Regards

Nola
