"Walk in centre - Minor Injury Unit"

About: Queen Mary's Hospital

Attended the walk in centre. It was very poorly signed in both the car park and main entrance. Ended up going past it. Needs better signage at the main entrance door. Attended at 5pm and the centre closes at 7pm. Was kept waiting over an hour and a 45 mins despite only 4 patients ahead of me. Only just got seen before the 7pm closure. The GP left early and the nurses were so stretched as only two were working. They were friendly when I eventually saw them but the queuing system was very slow and the centre lacked a range of equipment including xray as times for this are not clearly published also lacked simple things such as magnification items for assessing a finger injury. Expected to have a great local centre but sadly this needs more resources to be great. In future, if I ever need a walk-in centre on the weekend I'll have to use the Teddington walk in as its better resourced but sadly further to go.
