Visted Musgrove A&E Department due to having painful abdominal pain on going problem I arrived at 12 ish the took bloods about 12.30 ish left me sitting there until 5am then a doctor came and said your blood test have come back fine I argued i was still in pain and asked for a scan of my Abdomen they told me i did not appear sick enough and to be honest they said they would prefer not to do a scan in someone my age unless there were sure they needed too as it could cause me Cancer WOW nice way of putting it they then said as blood tests are ok you can go home now firstly i was still feeling ill secondly if they were just going to go off the blood test why leave me there for 4./5 hours?
I suffer from Anxiety and find the whole booking in process hard as there is no privacy when giving out your reasons for attending i was told if i needed help speak up as they could not hear me i was not been difficult just felt really anxious and needed some privacy. Urine test asked to do Urine test given a pot again no real privacy have to go to the toilet in reception and carry your pee back past every one i felt awkward. They have no Clue how to deal with Patients who attend who have mental health issues who have come with a physical problem. after been left for hours and Finally seeing the Doc i felt rushed and they just wanted rid I call it the Double B Bloods and Bye
I was distressed as i was still in pain and told you have to go now you have been discharged i tried to state my case they would not listen so i sat down and said i am not leaving until i feel you have investigated my problem properly then security came and escorted me out i felt bullied when at my most vulnerable.
I am not complaining for complaining sake AS I have attended musgrove Before and had excellent Care in the A&E Department sadly there is no continuity its very Hit and Miss sometimes there is a great team on duty other times not so good.
