I have recently completed a course of CBT with Michaela at Woodside Business Centre. Michaela is amazing at her job and clearly works alongside evidence based practice and research. She had taught me strategies and models of behaviour that I can use as part of everyday life to help me cope. I am much better than when I first presented. I still have a very long way to go however I have the understanding now of the process that controls my life. I think that I will definitely need more time to deal with PTSD however currently I choose to deal with this as its too painful and upsetting.

My only complaint is the waiting time. I waited 15 months for CBT and upon initial assessment, I was so bad I considered suicide. Luckily I didn’t do it however 15 months to wait is horrendous.

Michaela is a fantastic, professional and amazing practitioner.

Thanks for your feedback avocetwd37. I am so glad that you have found your therapy helpful, and that you have learnt strategies to help you cope with everyday life. I also apologise about your wait for therapy, and wanted to assure you that our therapists are working as quickly and effectively as possible through the waiting lists.
