To say this Ward is diabolical is an understatement apart from a few caring nurse's my mother has been on this Ward for 2 months . My mother has fallen and been left bruised from wrist to elbow with open wounds on an arm that has a fistula that should not be used. Her diabetes has not been controlled she has had ,2 hypos in 2 days and now her sugars are high.I have repeatedly asked to speak to a member of the diabetic team and continually fobbed off.She fell last week 3 times in 1 day and was moved to Ward 10 .I was happy because I thought things would get better I was wrong.I was glad she as away from one off the consultants. This consultant is one if the most arrogant people i have had the misfortune to meet.I hope a doctor never treats their mother the way they treated mine.I put a complaint in to PACT the complaints department on 16 of June received an email on receipt of my complaint but no action has been taken .went to see them yesterday no joy won't hold my breath. My mother is suffering with confusion but they cannot identify the reason and still 2 months later she is not being supervised taking her medication untill I spoke to one of the nurses yesterday even after we discovered medication under her pillow and even when we had been promised she would be supervised.when you hear people talk of a catalogue of errors you don't think it can be true surely one person who is in charge will take control .If I hear can we draw a line underneath and start again and move on I will explode .I did not want to have to go down this path but I have no choice I have tried every avenue to sort this out I've lost count how many Doctors and nurse I have spoken to and have been reassured things will be sorted out and with my mother's condition I hoped it would but now I have no alternative to speak out because God help you if you had no family. To add insult to injury my mother was a nurse for over 35 years and to five particular members of staff and a few others who did their best and you could rely on a Ward that is understaffed if you are not a straight forward case God help you
"Donot stay on this ward"
