"Nursing Staff supported eachother"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / General medicine

(as the patient),

I was admitted to hospital vey dehydrated unable to eat or drink.

I was happy when the nursing staff on B3 put me on a drip and put me on the road to recovery, Thank you to all of you. I was later transferred to F21, the nursing staff helped me on the road to recovery and nothing was to much trouble, even though they worked very long hours they were always cheerful and on the go. they supported each other very well which helped to make the ward work well. I would also like to Thank the catering staff the lovely people that came round to take the orders for the meals, so patient and caring and funny which cheered the patients up. The meals was very good and you get exactly what you order.

The doctors that looked after me explained what Achalasia is and the treatment that was available which helped me so much. The domestics worked so hard to keep the ward clean. However the toilet and bathroom need improving.

Thank you to you all

Thank you. I’m grateful you have taken the time to share details of your experience in our care. I’ve shared your feedback with the team on B3 as well as our team here on F21.

I have noted your comments about the toilet and bathroom and will ensure we make the necessary improvements.

You might like to know that we hold an annual staff awards event, called NUHonours, which is currently open to nominations. You might wish to nominate someone from your care, or the ward team, for an award (B3 falls under the Medicine Division Award while F21 falls under the Surgery Division Award). There is more information on our website: www.nuh.nhs.uk/nuhonours

Thanks again for the kind comments. I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes,

Diane Brittle.

Ward Manager, F21.
