My little girl had a bead stuck in her ear that had to be removed under general anaesthetic, we were admitted to Whips Cross Acorn ward Surgery Day Unit - from the moment we arrived we were cared for with so much attention and compassion. My daughter has had a fair share of hospital and doctor visits, but for the very first time I felt her to be at complete ease, and myself too, to be honest. Seeing all the care she received had put me at ease too knowing that my daughter is in good hands. Two nurses we had were amazing, I know I can't mention their names, I wish I could, as they were outstanding. One of them was like a child whisperer, they were so good, my daughter would let the nurse do all the checks and procedures, the nurse involved her and made her feel like she is allowed to make her own decisions. I was in absolute awe. Doctors and anaesthesitists were absolutely lovely, our experience from start to finish was outstanding. I would like to thank everyone involved, I armire the level of care we received given under how great pressures our NHS currently is. Well done!
