Worried sick about my daughter.
Rang the hospital as her waters had broken on Monday 17th July. (Evening). Advised by Hospital to see her midwife the next day as she should not come into hospital as there was no pain. Rang her midwife the following morning, advised by midwife they could not see her and said the hospital know we have no room steralised to see your daughter, so why have the hospital given out that kind of information.
Daughter saw her health visitor on Wednesday 19th July, who rushed her to hospital urgently.
Staff lovely at hospital, we were told by a Doctor that they would induce my daughter next week, as both her waters and plug had gone.
Then minutes later we were told she would have to take antibiotics to stop any infection for 10 days.
When I mentioned she was due to get induced next week, I was told no, we have no slots for her to give birth next week.
So now my daughter is walking around, plug gone, water gone since Monday and it's now Thursday 20th.
Worried sick.
What is going on with University College Hospital.?
Would other mothers please be aware, if your waters have broken and you are told not to bother the hospital and go see your midwife, this is very incorrect information and could lead to infection after 48 hours.
Please be aware that someone in the hospital is giving out incorrect information.
Really worried about my daughter, she is still in hospital right now, but leaving today.
"Worried"
