"The care provided was top class"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / Accident and emergency Sunderland Royal Hospital / Neurology

(as a service user),

Last week I attended ED and d41 after suffering excruciating pains to right side. Being a nurse myself I don't make a good patient and wasn't keen on going there however I could not fault my experience. The care provided was top class, the two staff nurses Sarah and Alex were fab! The nurse practitioner who's name I have forgot was also amazing. From start to finish the nurses were attentive/ supportive and an asset to City Hospitals Sunderland. I was then taken to D41 for further investigations and scans, again the staff were amazing here, I felt that they were very thorough and again an asset to the trust. Being a nurse we tend to hear a lot of complaints and bad press, however I can truely say my experience was faultless and the staff should be recognised for their hard work and professionalism.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and I hope that you are feeling better. I will pass on your kind words to the team as it really does make a difference and they always appreciate comments from patients, as I am sure you will know yourself as a nurse. Many Thanks, Nichola
