Saw nurse specialist who remembered that it is real people who have to live in the bodies with the presenting problem/illness. A refreshing change of approach to consultants who tend to focus on the condition to the exclusion of the patient voice. Nurse specialist, Blue Maplethorpe is always very helpful, reassuring and responds to patient's concerns. Also appreciate seeing her at 3 monthly intervals. 6 months plus wait for consultant is too long, meaning diagnosis, possible procedure, then follow up was taking in excess of a year. Too long when a patient is in pain!
