I have trouble with my knees for a few years now amongst other troubles.
In the main although I live in Stalybridge I use Salford Royal who have been tremendous.
Using the orthopaedic department at Tameside each time I visit I am kept some time over my alllotted appointment time. Not once but every time.
The consultant said that I would have a pre op and then an operation on my knee within three months.
The conduit hen write to my GP to confirm
I have had a pre op five weeks ago and we are now at three months so my pre op will run out I believe.
I'm now being told it could be three months from now even though I wrote in saying I had taken a turn for the worse and was in a lot of pain.
I did not get a reply even.
I complained to PALS and got a generic reply and absolutely ignored.
It would have been a lot easier just to go to another hospital and it undermines your respect for the people who are operating on you and whom you are putting your life in their hands.
"A long way to go ....."
